Understanding consumer reviews

Use individual experiences to find practical questions—not to establish health benefits.

Look for practical detail

Reviews may describe setup, controls, packaging, app use and maintenance. Specific descriptions can suggest questions to check in the manual or with the seller. An individual review is an account of someone’s experience, not a guarantee of yours.

Check the context

Check whether the review concerns the exact model you are considering. Note its date, any stated incentive and whether the writer describes how the product was used. A rating without context may not answer your question.

Do not treat reviews as clinical evidence

Personal experiences do not establish a product’s health effects. Keep review observations separate from technical documentation and any appropriately reviewed evidence. Check returns and warranty terms directly with the seller.

General education, not medical advice or a product endorsement. Confirm product details, availability and terms with the maker or seller.
