Information on Healthtek is provided for general information and understanding. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on search results or product comparisons to diagnose a condition or decide on treatment.

Where products include atrial fibrillation (AFib) screening features, those features are not necessarily diagnostic and do not guarantee that atrial fibrillation will be detected. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and seek appropriate professional advice about health concerns.

Catalogue and publication

The Healthtek catalogue contains products made available through Healthtek's review and publication process. It is not a complete list of available products. A product's absence from the catalogue does not mean that no suitable product exists elsewhere.

Publication in the catalogue, or display of the Healthtek Research Standard mark, is not certification, regulatory approval, or a guarantee that a product is safe or suitable for a particular person. You should consider your own needs and circumstances and seek professional advice where appropriate.

Product information and evidence

Product features and claims may be sourced from manufacturers and are attributed to them where applicable. Manufacturer information is not, by itself, independent clinical evidence. Multiple references to the same underlying source do not constitute independent confirmation.

Healthtek-reviewed evidence should be considered alongside its cited sources, the scope of the review and any stated limitations. A review does not verify every manufacturer claim or establish that a product is suitable for every user.

External public records

External public records, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) device listings, are presented separately from the Healthtek catalogue and Healthtek-reviewed evidence. These records have not necessarily been researched, reviewed or approved by Healthtek.

A listing does not, by itself, establish that a device works, is suitable for you, has FDA approval, or is available in New Zealand. Check the relevant regulator's records and the manufacturer's information where necessary.

Search and artificial intelligence

Some searches use automated interpretation, including artificial intelligence (AI), to identify search terms and categories. This process is not a medical assessment or personalised product advice. The interpretation may be incorrect, incomplete or unsuitable for your intended meaning.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any rights or remedies you may have under applicable New Zealand law.

Commercial independence

Healthtek currently has no affiliate or commission arrangements. Commercial relationships do not determine Healthtek's research, evidence assessments, search relevance or comparisons.

If sponsored placements or other commercial arrangements are introduced in future, they will be clearly identified where applicable and kept separate from research, search relevance and comparisons.
